Touring Italy

With the news from the Vatican about Pope John Paul's condition, it seems that the world will be losing the spiritual leader of the Catholic church and a wonderful man. Is anyone aware of how the 9 day period of mourning will affect areas of Italy outside the Vatican in Italy. We are scheduled to be on an Italian tour and wonder if the usual museums and tourist sites will be open for us.
