Teacher traveling alone

Read a lot before you go. The eyewitness travel guides are excellent. Try to stay near a metro if you are in a major town. Since it is your first trip, you might want to buy a basic tour package that includes air, hotel, and rail exchange between the major cities. It would be helpful to know where you are going.
