Do not despair. I can barely order from a menu in France or Germany, but with a smile and even a bad attempt at the language, you will find that the locals are very friendly. Additionally, to piggy back on what Myriam has said, you will find your courier to be an invaluable resource. Plan your trip! You will be happy that you did.
